Air crash practice 26th April in Vestmanneyjar
Akureyri fire department is the training coordinator for all airport guards in the Icelandic airports. True contract with “Flugstoðir”. Two trips are taken each year to every airport with training program.
F-1 emergency call was sounded due to a car accident on Borgarbraut. Immediately it was clear that it was a bad accident that needed lot of man power.
Yesterday (18.03.08) the fire prevention section finished visiting the oldest kinder garden kids. This winter they have been in program Logi & Glóð witch is part of doing them more informed of fire prevention in there Kinder garden School. Such as were are the fire exits located, how we act when the fire alarm sounds, are all routs clear and fire extinguishers in place.
